How Do You Prep Recovery-Wise Before Intense Training Phases?

Quick question for folks who’ve been in the game a while — how do you approach recovery before ramping up training intensity? I’ve got a tough few months ahead (hybrid strength/endurance program) and I already know my joints and sleep are going to take a hit.

Last time I overdid it, I ended up taking 3 weeks off because of inflammation flare-ups and low energy. Someone mentioned GH might help cushion the load a bit — not for growth per se, but for connective tissue support and faster recovery. Anyone actually try this approach before a heavy phase?

Yeah, I’ve been down that road. When I know I’m heading into a brutal block — lots of volume, reduced rest — I usually start prepping 2–3 weeks in advance with some GH, mobility work, and better sleep hygiene.

Interesting topic. I usually just rely on deloads and supplements like collagen and turmeric for joints, but I’m starting to see more people talk about GH in this context. Cool to see how others approach it differently.
