Community Solar Tour

Have you wondered about solar? Take some time to visit neighbors in Jefferson Chalmers who are embracing solar power for the good of the environment and the community's health.

ABOUT THIS LOCAL SOLAR TOUR

The tour will start at 748 Ashland, next stop 220 Manistique in Detroit, mi 48215, Jefferson Chalmers Community. The tour will end at 259 Manistique (the Creative Empowerment Garden), with the solar movie theater/emergency powering station. This is a project by The Global Treehouse Initiative 2 and Community Treehouse Center Detroit to install solar on 25+ roofs in the community including commercial.

Visitors should attend our local solar tour, because we are a community that is embracing solar power for the good of our environment and our health. We have several projects that we are completing using solar power and projects we have completed. This is "Community Empowerment " at its best, never done in Detroit before. WHAT IS A LOCAL SOLAR TOUR?

A local solar tour is a group of multiple solar open house events being organized together in a particular community or area. Some local tours may be guided or require a ticket to attend, while others are self-guided and free. Local tours can be organized by non-profit organizations, individual volunteers, and solar installation companies.

This event is free and open to the public - everyone is welcome to attend. Whether you are a solar owner, completely new to solar, or somewhere in between – this event is for you.
